About Bodrum Castle & Museum of Underwater Archaeology

The Castle of St Peter was built by the Knights Hospitaller from the early 15th century on the promontory between Bodrum’s two bays, partly with stone from the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus. Today it holds the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, with finds from ancient shipwrecks off the coast.
