Public transport: intercity coaches run from Istanbul to Çanakkale, about 5 hours; local minibuses go to Troy, and ferries cross the strait to Eceabat and Kilitbahir for Gallipoli. There are also flights to Çanakkale. Private: by car or transfer, about 5 hours via the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge; many visitors take a guided tour.
