About Green Mosque & Green Tomb

On a hill east of the centre, the Green Mosque (Yeşil Camii) and the Green Tomb (Yeşil Türbe) of Sultan Mehmed I were built in the 1410s and 1420s and are covered inside and out with green and turquoise tiles: some of the most beautiful early Ottoman decoration anywhere.
