Araf received its first MICHELIN Star in the 2026 guide, the only new star in Istanbul this year. Chefs Kenan Çetinkaya and Pınar Korgan Çetinkaya cook over an open fire in front of a small counter, with sincere, bold dishes that show the depth of Turkish flavours; the MICHELIN inspectors note their skill with offal and vegetables alike. Seats are few, so book well ahead.
