About City ferries (Şehir Hatları)
The ferries of Şehir Hatları are Istanbul’s favourite way to travel: from Eminönü, Karaköy and Beşiktaş to Kadıköy and Üsküdar on the Asian side, up the Bosphorus and out to the Princes’ Islands. Buy a tea and a simit on board, sit outside and feed the gulls. Other operators, such as Turyol and Dentur Avrasya, run some cross-Bosphorus routes.
