The red nostalgic tram runs along İstiklal Avenue between Taksim and Tünel. At the Tünel end, the historic underground funicular, opened in 1875 and one of the oldest underground railways in the world, climbs from Karaköy to Beyoğlu in a couple of minutes. The modern F1 funicular links Kabataş with Taksim.
