The Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, also called İskele Camii, the Pier Mosque, faces the ferry landing at Üsküdar. Sinan built it in 1548 for Mihrimah Sultan, daughter of Süleyman the Magnificent. It is the first thing you see when the ferry arrives on the Asian side. Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered, a headscarf for women), take off your shoes, and avoid prayer times.
