The T1 tram runs from Kabataş along the Bosphorus to Karaköy, across the Galata Bridge to Eminönü and up through Sultanahmet, Beyazıt (for the Grand Bazaar) and on to the western districts. For most visitors it is the most useful line in the city; it gets very crowded at rush hour.
